The differences in the two images of Crete Elementary SchoolÕs two-story building at 11th and Juniper are mainly due to the growth of the pin oaks planted along Juniper, which have given the corner abundant shade over the last seven decades. The building was constructed in 1942 and has been home to different grades over the years. It now has an elevator addition and is connected to the rest of the elementary campus buildings added in the 1950s and 1990s.
