In the inset photo, Doane running back Mike Sallier is shown scoring a touchdown in what is believed to be the Nebraska Wesleyan game in 1969 (a crane being used for the construction of the Communications Building can be seen in the upper left of the old photo). The growth of trees and the remodeling of Simon Field, now Papik Field, over the past 45 years has changed the landscape surrounding the south end zone considerably.
